Daily Routine

  • At the start of each session, the children will be welcomed into Little Bears by our staff and are settled at one of the activities on offer.
  • Each term we base the children’s learning on a different topic, so our daily activities are themed as far as possible.
  • Weather permitting, the children play outside every day and make use of our large patio areas and extensive garden area.
  • The children have a healthy mid-morning snack and we ask parents to provide a contribution to this.
  • Children attending all day or just the afternoon session will need to bring a packed lunch with them.

An integral part of our daily routine is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  This is a structure of learning, development and care for children which enables your child to learn through a range of activities.

The EYFS

  • Children learn through play
  • Providers work closely with parents
  • Parents are kept up to date on their child’s progress
  • The welfare, learning and all-round development of children with different backgrounds and levels of ability, including those with special educational needs and disabilities

Big Club

  • We run Big Club every day for children who start school in the following September.
  • Big Club takes place with a small group of children and includes games, group time, books and activities that will help your child learn important skills for when they make the move to school.
